PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS

Our Pre school unit has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and is now one of the busiest sections of our club and the most sought after Pre school gymnastics club in the borough of Bromley.

The Pre school classes are held at two centres, Newstead Woods on Saturdays, and all day at Hayes Lane from Wednesday to Saturdays . Specialist equipment has been bought to ensure that the children will be taught using smaller pieces alongside full size equipment enabling them to achieve the skill properly before being transferred to the larger pieces which we house and the children enjoy.

Our classes are 45 minutes long and are taught by fully qualified Pre school staff. All staff are qualified, DBS enhanced, first aid qualified, insured with British Gymnastics and have completed child protection and Safeguarding training.

Classes consist of a short warm up and gymnasts then work weekly on balance and co ordination on the four main gymnastic pieces – Floor, Vault, Beam and Bars. We have also purchased an air track and mini trampette so that our angels can work on their tumbling and rebound skills. Children under the age of three will come into our child/parent class to enjoy quality time with their carer under the guidance of our coaches, children over the age of three will attend our classes independently while thir parent/carer can relax outside. Please note that we cannot accommodate siblings in our under 3 classes that wish to sit and watch.

Pre school gymnastics is a brilliant foundation for children hoping to attend our recreational classes once they reach school age, they enter the gym confidently already knowing the basics. All Allegro Angels will be given priority over the waiting list when they transfer from our Preschool unit into the main gym once they start in Reception at school.

UNIFORM

All Allegro Angels are expected to wear our Pre school uniform. Our mini Angels in our under 3 classes wear our club T shirt with their own shorts, these t shirts come in sizes 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4 and will be given to you at the start of your first lesson, please see your information pack for details. Our gymnasts in our over 3 classes have their own allegro Angel uniform, please click the link below to take you to the website,if the size you require is not available please telephone The Zone directly, we do not have any access to leotards the girls velour leotard must be ordered in the colour ROYAL and the boys lycra leotard is also ROYAL with NAVY shorts.

Please always avoid clothing with buttons, zips, hoods and pockets, the simpler the better, loose or lacey pieces of clothing can get caught and the safety of our gymnasts must be paramount at all times.

No Jewellery is allowed, religious bracelets that cannot be removed must be covered with a towelling sweatband.

All hair must be tied up! If your child’s hair could fall in front of their eyes, especially their fringe, they will not be allowed to take part, they need to be able to see! Please also know that Alice hairbands cannot be worn, or large bows or clips.

The boys uniform is available online in size 26″ upwards, if you require the smaller size of 24″ please give them a call as they are able to order the smaller size over the telephone
